Stay Tuned for Big Changes!

The 2015-2016 Tiny Tots year will begin on September 16, with registration opening on September 1. Big news this year: Nearly all of our “paperwork” is going online, which means you’ll be able to register, pay, and even schedule your opening/closing duties all from the comfort of your computer or smartphone! We’ll also have a calendar of events for members (and some open houses for those who are interested in joining).

To do this, we’ll have a little web site maintenance happening in the next few weeks, so if you check in and see some changes — don’t worry! There’s plenty of work happening behind the scenes to make this a new and exciting year. We’ll have dates and times for our open houses and our orientation meeting soon, too!

For now, you can follow here or on Facebook if you want to stay up-to-date, or e-mail us for more information any time.

Happy Summer!

Spring Carnival on Saturday!

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for 10 a.m. to noon this Saturday, May 30. It’s the Tiny Tots Spring Carnival, and we’d love to have you join us for fun activities, a bake sale and raffle.

The raffle will support Tiny Tots, and we have some fabulous prizes. Red Wagon Creamery has donated two $20 gift certificates. If you’ve eaten their ice cream, you know it’s delicious! We’d like to thank Red Wagon Creamery for their generous donation, and invite you to learn more about this local business at http://www.redwagoncreamery.com.

Past Tiny Tots member – and Stella & Dot representative – Anneka McMillen has generously donated a beautiful scarf and earrings to our raffle, too. Thank you, Anneka!

We are still seeking members to volunteer at the event and make baked goods. Find out more on the members Facebook page.

In addition, Tiny Tots is offering a special deal for the 2015/16 school year (which will run from about mid-September through early June.) If you join between now and June 10, you will pay only $88 for the combined three terms!

Compared to early fall rates this past year, that’s a savings of $8 and compared to late fall rates, that’s a savings of $17! We encourage you to join early and get a great deal. You can even sign up at the carnival!

Join us for the Tiny Tots Spring Carnival

The 2014/15 Tiny Tots year is almost over! Our last day will be in early June. And to send off the year, we are having one last big, fun-filled event.

Please join us for the Tiny Tots Spring Carnival from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 30. We will have fun kids activities, including our bounce house, delicious baked goods at reasonable prices and a raffle with fun prizes that will support Tiny Tots.

More info on the prizes and activities will be posted soon. The event is open to members and potential members. It’s going to be fun!

Shop The Dancing Weasel this weekend!

If you’re doing your Easter basket shopping this weekend and want to include toys, don’t forget to stop by The Dancing Weasel Toy Store on Saturday or Sunday. Tell them when you are checking out that you’d like your purchase to support Tiny Tots. The store will donate 20 percent of your purchase to our indoor playground. It’s that simple! No flier is required.

This wonderful fundraiser will be ongoing for all open hours on Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29 at the store, 30 E. 17th Ave., Eugene.

And, of course, you can purchase toys for any occasion, not just Easter, such as baby showers or birthdays. Thank you The Dancing Weasel Toy Store for your generous support! Find out more about this store at http://www.thedancingweaseltoystore.com

All you need to do is stop in at the store and let them know that you’re with Tiny Tots – and they will donate 20 percent of the value of your purchase to our favorite indoor playground! You don’t need a flier. It’s a great opportunity to shop for toys, whether you’re building an Easter basket or looking for a birthday or baby shower gift.

Two Fun Opportunities to Support Tiny Tots

Get ready for TWO fantastic fundraisers that will help raise money for Tiny Tots this month!

First, next Monday (March 9) is a pizza day at the Coburg Road Papa’s Pizza, 1577 Coburg Road. Papa’s will generously donate 50 percent of the proceeds from all food purchases you make for dine-in and take out that day to Tiny Tots if you bring the flyer (which is attached to a post on the members Facebook page, also available on the Papa’s Pizza website and at Tiny Tots.) In addition, Papa’s will donate 25 percent of the value of any gift certificates you buy that day.

This is an easy and delicious way to support Tiny Tots – and not have to cook dinner (or lunch) that day! The fundraiser starts at 11 a.m. that day and goes until midnight, when Papa’s closes. Find out more about Papa’s Pizza at http://www.papaspizza.net/

The second fundraiser is a great opportunity to shop for toys, whether it’s an Easter basket, baby shower or birthday party that’s the reason for your shopping trip. On Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, The Dancing Weasel Toy Store, 30 E 17th Ave, Eugene, will donate 20 percent of all purchases you make if you tell them you’re there to support Tiny Tots. Find out more about this local business at http://www.thedancingweaseltoystore.com

Tiny Tots has a variety of expenses each year. These include monthly rent, insurance and supplies. Fundraisers like these are essential to make up the gap between what we take in through membership fees and our expenses.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting Tiny Tots on March 9 at Papa’s Pizza and March 28-29 at The Dancing Weasel Toy Store.

Join us for the Winter Celebration!

When is Tiny Tots Winter Celebration? In four more days!

Please join us at this fun event, from 10 a.m. to noon on Sat., Feb. 28 at Tiny Tots.

You can visit with friends you’ve made at Tiny Tots, and make some new ones. Your kids will enjoy fun activities, such as a “snowball” toss, a sticker craft and a cotton ball “snow” sensory bin. If you’re not a Tiny Tots member, but have children age kindergarten and younger and would like to see our facility for yourself, please join us.

We have great raffle prizes, too! The Dancing Weasel Toy Store has provided a $20 gift certificate for our raffle. You can learn more about this local business at http://www.thedancingweaseltoystore.com/

Benedetti’s Meat Market & Deli also has generously donated a gift certificate for the raffle. Learn more about this local business by finding them on Facebook as Benedetti’s Meat Market & Deli.

The Washburne Cafe, which serves breakfast, lunch and baked goods, has also generously donated a gift certificate for the raffle. You can find out more about this local business at http://www.thewashburnecafe.com/

And we have a fantastic gift basket of Posh skincare products thanks to Posh representative and Tiny Tots member Karen Nixon! Posh is all-natural skincare that looks, feels and smells luxurious. You can find her on Facebook as Peace, Love, and Posh.

One more fun raffle idea: We are raffling off one duty pardon for spring term, winner’s choice.

This is going to be an outstanding raffle! Thank you to all of our generous donors.

And, of course, we will have a delicious bake sale with a mix of sweet and savory treats at family friendly prices. The bake sale will benefit Tiny Tots, as will the raffle.

If you are a member and would like to volunteer at the event, to set up or clean up or to make a baked good, you can find out more about these opportunities on the members Facebook page.

We’re looking forward to another fun event, and we hope you are, too!
